Registration Fee Policy

Objective

Set fees to be as low as possible and fair to all players whilst maintaining the financial viability of the club.

Commentary

The club has limited sources of revenue, typically:

  • Registration Fees

  • Sponsorship

  • Fundraising activities


Whilst we enjoy the support of multiple sponsors, the reality is that this is a small component of the club's expenses that have risen sharply in recent years with respect to ground hire, Association Charges (especially from Council Fees rising by 35%)  and insurance costs contributing the majority of these increases.

Sponsorship within the current economic climate is difficult, but we have been successful in obtaining a couple of generous sponsors, but they don't always last. New Sponsors are needed. Small or large amounts do help in maintaining our expenses.

Fundraising for the club has been discussed at length with players and parents in recent years. The Club in the past few years had incorporated fundraising in the Fees but this has been dropped in favour of the older model of season fundraising, through Raffles.

Fundraising will also be conducted through Gala Days and Fundraising evenings during the season.

Costs through Council Fees and Association Fees have risen sharply in the past couple of years and the cost of providing resources such as new Nets are user pays from Councils and have risen.

So the Fees have been adjusted accordingly, whilst attempting to keep them reasonable for players.

 The balance of the expenses must be met by registration fees. The executive must budget for a small surplus and therefore calculate the fees basis to ensure the financial viability of the club as well as the fee structure being fair in its distribution across age groups and competitions played in.

 Fees Policy:-Juniors

  • All fees & extras are due & payable by end October.
  • For new junior players all fees are inclusive of club playing shirt, Training Shirt, & hat.
  • For returning juniors new clothing kit is on a bi-yearly basis, unless size requirements or loss in growing juniors is required.
  • All Shorts, long Pants, Caps, Hats, Cricket Jumper, Supporters Shirts, Club Jackets are extra. see separate pricing.
  • All fees are inclusive of comprehensive insurance fee, public liability to $20m. insurance covers medical expenses and hospitalisation. There is the usual professional medical gap fee to be covered by recipient.
  • The minimum fee for any Junior Player is $150 unless the Executive decides otherwise. This is at the discretion of the treasurer and the executive.
  • If they are a pensioner, 50% fee is applicable. (we had two such players until recently whose grandparents used to play the fees).
  • Families with two or more players pay the minimum fee of $150 for the second sibling. the third sibling is free.
  • Parents/Carers must contact the club for these options.
  • Players who play in two teams either on a Saturday or Sunday or different age groups will have a surcharge of $50 applied.
  • U13s to U17s play in the new Inner Sydney Combined Associations (ISCCA),
  • The U14s TO U17s All Play is on Turf.
  • 1. JUNIOR FEES 16-17:

  • In2 Cricket $150.00.

  • U8s to U12s will be $250.00

  • U13s to U14s $300.00. Tr-Cricket Comp. on Synthetics.

  • Junior Club Turf Players U14s to U16s  $350

  Fees Policy:–Seniors

  • All fees & extras are due & payable by end November or at end of Round 3.
  • Payment plans are available for seniors at the discretion of the treasurer.
  • The minimum fee must be paid before any kit is available.
  • For returning Seniors the Fees are $450 new clothing kit is on a bi-yearly basis, unless size requirements or loss is required and will be at users cost.
  • For new Senior Shires players all fees  $550 are inclusive of club playing shirt, training shirt, shorts & one day shirt,  (same style as junior & park players), training shirt  plus cap.
  • Park Fees are $200.
  • For new Park Players all fees are inclusive of club playing shirt (same style as junior & shires players one day) plus cap.
  • Extra clothing including all shorts, long pants, hats, cricket jumper, supporters shirts, club jackets, see separate pricing.
  • The minimum payment fee for any Senior Turf Player is $350 unless the executive decide otherwise.
  • The minimum fee for any Park Player is $150 unless the Executive decides otherwise.
  • All fees are inclusive of comprehensive insurance fee, public liability to $20m. Insurance covers medical expenses and hospitalisation. there is the usual professional medical gap fee to be covered by recipient.

Communication

  1. Ensure that the policy is prominent on the website.

  2. At the commencement of each season, ensure that the fees are communicated along with what the fees pay for (eg shirt etc) as well as the fundraising component.

 

The policy and guidelines will be reviewed every two years and incorporate comments and suggestions from children, parents and volunteers.
